San Diego La Raza Lawyers Association Endorses Candidate for District Attorney

San Diego, CA – San Diego La Raza Lawyers Association, San Diego’s Latino Bar Association, held its first District Attorney Forum on Wednesday, May 28 at 6:30 p.m. to address issues facing the Latino community and all San Diego residents.  In attendance were the top three candidates for District Attorney: Robert Brewer, Bonnie Dumanis, and Terri Wyatt. Immediately after the Forum, the SDLRLA Board of Directors met with members of the Endorsement Committee who had interviewed all three candidates during the month prior to the Forum, as well as to evaluate points made during the Forum by the candidates.

Upon a majority vote of the SDLRLA Board of Directors, SDLRLA is proud to endorse Robert Brewer for District Attorney. SDLRLA wishes Mr. Brewer the best of luck in the upcoming election.

Mr. Brewer offers the following quote: “I’m truly honored by this endorsement and I also want to thank the San Diego La Raza Lawyers Association for hosting last night’s DA candidates forum, which was a true public service.”

Forum Partnering Organizations included NALEO Educational Fund, Lawyers Club of San Diego, Justicia Criminal Defense Attorneys Association, San Diego County Bar Association, Pan Asian Lawyers of San Diego, Korean American Bar Association of San Diego, Mana de San Diego, NAHREP, Chicano Federation, San Diego Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and the National Latino Business Women Association.

The Forum was co-moderated by Joanne Faryon, Investigative Reporter with inewsource; and Amita Sharma, KPBS Investigative Reporter.
