Dear SDLRLA Members, sponsors, supporters, and friends:

My term as SDLRLA’s President is fast coming to a close.  It has been a wonderful and productive year, which I look forward to finishing strong with a number of initiatives that I will address in my final President’s Message in the fall.  For now, I strongly encourage those of you who are interested in leadership and the mission of SDLRLA to consider running as a candidate for the 2013-2014 open Board of Director and Executive Officer seats.  Serving on the Board has been a wonderful experience for me, one which has greatly leveraged my ability to give back to the community in an incredibly rewarding way.  It has also helped me develop amazing professional relationships throughout the region.  I cannot say enough how much I recommend serving on our Board if you are interested in service.  I have been extremely impressed with the caliber of our association’s leadership during my tenure as a Director, and I know from my relationships with you all that we have a deep bench from which to draft our future leadership.  I hope that I can persuade you to accept this challenge.  Please feel free to contact me or any of the other Directors if you have any questions about what it is like to serve on the Board.  Below is the election information.

Best, Rafael
