Luis O. Osuna is a Mexican-American born in Tijuana, Mexico. He immigrated to the U.S. with his family at the age of six and spent his formative years in San Diego before leaving to attend college. He is proud to be a U.C. Berkeley and California Western School of Law graduate. Mr. Osuna is a personal injury, workers compensation and medical malpractice attorney at Golper, Sullivan, Rivera & Osuna.

In addition, he is actively involved in the community through his capacity as Immediate Past-President of the San Diego La Raza Lawyers Association and as a past Board of Director for the Chicano Federation.

Most recently, he was nominated by San Diego Councilman David Alvarez to become a city commissioner on the city's Independent Rates and Oversight Committee. Subsequent to his nomination, he was appointed to the position by Mayor Kevin Faulconer.

In 2016 Mr. Osuna was elected South Area Vice Chair of the San Diego County Democratic party.
