Admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court and in state and federal courts in California, Maryland and the District of Columbia. Expertise in employment law, media law, First Amendment law, commercial litigation, insurance coverage law, and appellate advocacy. Former newspaper reporter and magazine editor. Active in state and local bar associations and advocacy for women's rights and LGBTQ rights. Volunteer with organizations helping incarcerated teens, homeless women, domestic violence victims, and animals.
