Fernando Tafoya is a graduate of Hastings College of the Law, University of California, San Francisco. He recieved his license to practice law in 1990. In addition, he holds a masters in political science from the University of California at Berkeley. Fernando has also served as a professor of evidence and taught Chicano studies and American government at U.C Berkley and other universities. Fernando has published articles in the LA times, SF Chronicle, Orange County Register and the Fresno Bee. He is a frequent commentator in the media regarding law and politics. Mr. Tafoya is the current president of La Raza Lawyers Association in San Diego and a member of the State Bar of California, the San Diego County Bar, the Fresno County Bar and the California Applicant Attorney Association (CAAA). Tafoya has received numerous awards including Fernando Tafoya Day in the city of Fresno, and the MAPA President`s award Fernando has also served as an advisor to numerous elected officials and has managed many political campaigns. Fernando continues to work with and support non-profit organizations in California.
