Roxanne left her teaching position with the board of Education of NY after she fell in love with San Diego in 1998 on a summer vacation visiting family. By year 2000, she and her sister Sanam had already invested in several properties and were on their way to becoming real estate enthusiasts. “We were working at Qualcomm in Sorrento Valley and we bought in Mira Mesa to be close to our work. It made more sense to buy at the time than to rent; besides renting has never been a part of our family’s tradition.”

In the summer of 2000, Roxanne went on to open “Soltan Banoo Restaurant” with her mother and sister in University Heights. Just one year later, the security of the business allowed her to leave her daytime job and focus on real estate and the restaurant full time. It was during this busy time that Roxanne met her husband and got married in 2002.

In September of 2003, “Soltan Banoo” bought its new location with Roxanne as its agent and during the restaurant’s re-birth, Alexander the son was born. After Alex’s birth, Roxanne’s mom and sister took over the restaurant, so that the new mom could pursue her real estate career full-time. Roxanne still stays involves in managing the accounts of their family restaurant, “It helps me stay current and sharp with finances and in that way it complements my real estate career, besides the busier I am, the more I achieve.”

This ambitious real estate professional has years of personal and professional experience under her belt and a vast knowledge of San Diego and its real estate market. “I’m excited to be more active in real estate, because I think San Diego is one of the most exciting cities in which to live and invest. I have worked with sellers who benefitted from their investments and I’ve helped buyers see their dreams come true, I’m very proud of that”.

In 2007 Roxanne and her team decided to go on their own and started Pemberley Realty. The office is located steps from Soltan Banoo, her family’s restaurant. Roxanne now lives with her husband, their two children, two dogs and cats in University Heights. Needless to say that the whole family has invested in real estate in the Metro area with Roxanne as their broker. This busy broker is very involved in her community and the neighborhood. The team provides a monthly newsletter for the neighborhoods that they serve and love. The office contributes a portion of every commission check to a charity organization both on the local and international level. One thing her clients often say with a sigh of relief is that Roxanne’s honesty, integrity, and efficiency help make their experience of selling or buying a house so much more simple and pleasant. In 2010 after years of search and trials, Roxanne found her assistant Brenda Beltran to help her with her property management, real estate errands, and office work. Brenda has been an asset to Pemberley Realty; with her knowledge of technology, her professionalism and her integrity, she has brought more efficiency and speed to the business. Roxanne’s sister Sanam joined in as the marketing consultant. She brings over a decade of restaurant management, marketing and business experience and brings a fresh wave of energy to Pemberley’s traditional ways. She also writes a column for the newsletters and acts as its editor. Today, Roxanne’s team consists of 10 active agents who are servicing the San Diego community both in selling, and listing properties in addition property management. The team is working on the Pemberley blog to keep clients current on what’s going on with the real estate market and San Diego.
