Thomas Jefferson School of Law invites SDLRLA members to join it for an informative MCLE featuring Kristin L. Ritsema, Senior Trial Counsel, Office of  the Chief Trial Counsel, The State Bar of California.

Ms. Ritsema is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley and the University of California, Davis School of Law. Since 1993, Ms. Ritsema has been a prosecutor with the State Bar of California, Office of the Chief Trial Counsel, handling attorney disciplinary matters and regulatory matters before the State Bar Court. Her experience includes full case responsibility from investigation of allegations of misconduct through filing of charges, settlement, trial, and appeals. At various times, she has led teams of attorneys, investigators and paralegals. She currently serves as Calibration Senior Trial Counsel for the Los Angeles office, conducts and arranges training for attorneys, investigators and paralegals, acts as liaison for outreach, and teaches State Bar Ethics School and Client Trust Accounting School. Prior to joining the Office of the Chief Trial Counsel, Ms. Ritsema was a litigation associate with the law firm of Keesal, Young & Logan in Long Beach.

She will be speaking on Avoiding the State Bar Disciple System- information that’s always good to know! The MCLE is free of charge and lunch will be served. 1.0 hour of Legal Ethics MCLE credit is available.
