San Ysidro Park Project –

Donate or Volunteer Today!

Janett Gaytan is not someone to sit back and watch San Ysidro Neighborhood Park deteriorate and be taken over by gangs. She is a young San Ysidro resident and a recent graduate of the New School of Architecture and Design who has a passion for helping her community and has upgrade and create a safer playground for their children, which is not on the City of San Diego’s parks upgrade list.  What she envisions as Los Niños Park San Ysidro will cost about $300,000 and she is raising the money in partnership with Casa Familiar, a non-profit organization based in San Ysidro. “We would like to invite your business to help make our dream happen by donating a product, service or cash to help our fundraising efforts,” Gaytan says. “We will be happy to recognize your business’s contribution on all promotional materials, including community advertising, and in later reports on the event in our newsletter, website, or other communications to the public.”  To donate to Casa Familiar, please send “Care Of” Los Niños Park Project and attention of David Flores. Your contribution may be tax deductible, Casa Familiar is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit org (Tax I.D. # 23-723-7898) or attend a volunteer meeting on August 29, 6 p.m. at the Rec Center at 212 Park Avenue, San Ysidro.
