COUNTY LAW LIBRARY SEEKS TRUSTEE
The San Diego Law Library has an opening for a new trustee to serve a three-year term on its governing board. By statute, the trustee must be an attorney and preferably a member of the San Diego County Bar Association. See Business & Professions Code section 6301. The term will begin January, 2015.
The following attributes are the ideal qualities of a new trustee: someone who believes in libraries and library service; is a law library user; and who is willing to promote the value of the law library to the public. A trustee should be concerned about what services the law library can provide for the community. In general, trustees are community representatives and must keep informed about the legal community and county law libraries. They are advocates for the law library.

About the San Diego Law Library
Since 1891, the law library has served the entire county – the general public, businesses, self-represented litigants, attorneys and the courts – as the only freely accessible legal collection available to the public.
