2014 Bar Stipend Awards Program Announced!
San Diego La Raza Lawyers Association Scholarship Fund (the Scholarship Fund) proudly announces the fourth year of its Bar Stipend Scholarship Program! Bar stipends are awarded to law students in their final year of study to assist with bar examination related expenses. In awarding bar stipends, the Scholarship Fund will consider the applicant’s academic achievement, financial need, community service, leadership experience and any hardship experienced in pursuing an education.

Stipends typically range from $500 to $1,500. Bar stipend recipients will be honored at an event on May 22, 2014. Please mark your calendars to attend an evening reception. All law students will be welcome.
ELIGIBILITY:
1) Third or fourth year law students enrolled in an ABA accredited law school in San Diego County; or a law student currently enrolled in an ABA accredited law school with ties to San Diego or Imperial Counties.
2) Of Latino heritage; and/or with significant contributions to the Latino community.
3) Students who will sit for the July 2014 or February 2015 California Bar Examination.
Bar stipend recipients will be notified in mid-May 2014. Awards will be sent to students upon satisfactory proof of: 1) registration for the July 2014 or February 2015 California Bar Examination; and/or 2) enrollment in a bar review course.
